LFG wanted raised beds for her gardens this year and she planted her vegetable seeds in Llama Llama Poo Poo mixed in with a little peat moss. It is amazing the growth already we make some good fertilizer! She got her garden in late and it still looks amazing! So anyway I'm digressing. LFB was making the raised beds (they are almost in the location LFG was hoping for and well he was using his circular saw. This saw had more duct tape on it than a roll of duct tape! And he did it again - in just one swoop he clipped the cord on the saw and split it right off. The beds were don't and I heard LFG say something about not understanding why he wouldn't use the saw that was cordless. I just thought that was hysterical as the saw he was using is now just that - cordless. Below are the before and after pictures. Sure enough he came back out a few days later and they finished the job together. LFG looked a little weary, the cord a little shorter, LFB as confident as ever. Like I said in the title he is smarter than your average LFB!
Well the sun just came out and I'm all soggy so I'm going to catch some rays and eat some of LFG's weeding efforts.
Great talking to you - looking forward to meeting you back here again!
Adios!
Milagra
Hi everyone! I know you have all been waiting anxiously to hear from me. I know this because I can read LFG and LFB's minds. Some of the things I keep hearing are "What is she waiting for" and "Doesn't she know it doesn't have to be perfect." I'm pretty sure LFG is talking about my first blog entry. So here it is - Tada!
I have a lot of fun with my llamatelepathy. The other day LFG and LFB were outside preparing an area for some improved pasture for us (about time!) LFB thinks that we don't know what is happening - he thinks we are upset because they fenced off some of our area. Little does he know that we were prepared. LFG has been asking for help on this for 4 years now - Bailey and I have been here 6 years this month. Well we are all prepared and pleased.
So anyway, to the fun part of this story. LFG was pulling weeds and cultivating the land while LFB was raking the ground free of rocks (we live in VT right!) LFB found a special rock that the rake would go over and it would make a very gritty sound. Later I learned from LFG that this was like nails on a chalkboard - not sure what a chalkboard is though. LFG would shrivel up and squirm a bit when he would do that. So LFB did it again - not because he wanted to - but because I told him to! And again and again. Finally, LFG said, "Would you stop that - and LFB said, "What? oh that Magnet made me do it." It was a grand day - not only did I get LFB in trouble but Magnet too!
When you are a llama on a farm in VT with these special powers you have to have some fun with it or you will go out of your mind.
Just a follow up from Magnet - he keeps bugging me . . .
Thank you to Spincerely and Belinda for his/our first comments as bloggers - we are looking forward to more comments. He is thrilled that his fleece is off (I'm the only one with a fleece still on) and wanted to share a photo of LFG completely exhausted as she finishes one of his sides. LFG enjoys shearing him the most - she calls him her pretty pony - he doesn't mind so much - but I sure would!
So this is not the master piece I had planned but perhaps I need to warm up for that a bit. Keep watching - we are not sure who will be next . . .
Happy Little Friday,
Harmony
PS - that is what LFG and her friend Jen calls Thursday
I know I've got this big fluffy coat but come on - a little sunshine and they are going to take all this heavy fleece off of me! And what is up with all this rain? Enough to get me wet but the ground dries out so fast. Oh well - all the better for me to roll around in. Did I mention how much I love to roll in the dirt! It just feels so good - a little dusty but hey I just close my eyes and I'm so good to go!
Dinner was good and the hay is awesome, but I'm looking forward to all those weeds that LlamaFarmGirl (LFG) and LlamaFarmBoy (LFB) share with me as the garden starts to flourish. I know they have real names but one is obviously a boy and one is obviously a girl - it is just easier that way. Kind of like thing one and thing two. I called them LFG and LFB one day and boy did Bailey pick up on that - he just kept chattering away like I just invented corn or something. Anyway it stuck so now we call our people LFG and LFB.
So the other day we decided that we wanted a blog, I mean like everyone has one so why not us, right. There should be no shortage of stuff to write about with all the wacky stuff that goes on around here. Harmony has been talking quite a bit about what she wants to write about in her first entry. Should be good - she is quiet but very funny. Actually, I'm pretty lucky - everyone here is pretty funny, different but we sure do laugh a lot.
I got to go first because I'm the oldest - I'm pretty sure Harmony will go next as she always gets her way. She is still working out the details but said that you might enjoy a photo (like I said she always gets her way). This one is from the family album. Carneros is my cousin the one with the dark face. Milagra the white one is my cousin too! Well I guess that makes their baby (now nearing 3.5 years old - we age just like people do - the earth revolves around the sun for us just like it does for you - duh) Also my cousin! Do you see her she is the little brown thing between her folks. Bailey and Harmony are not even remotely related to us except for the fact that we are all llamas.
I had better go before LFG notices what I'm up to!
Adios,
